Good start to Rabbie Burns Event.

Special event station GB250RB got off to a good start on Sunday when it came on-air to commemorate the 250th anniversary of Rabbie Burns birth.

3 stations, run by Kilmarnock and Loudoun Amateur Radio Club, were operating on 20, 40 and 80m.

The stations had 500+ QSO’s in approx 12 hours, with 1100 look ups on QRZ.com. Contacts came from all over Europe, VK and State side.

The call will be active again on Sunday morning 1st February on 40 and 80m.
