Amapa State, Amazonic Region
This DXpedition will be held between May 15 - 17, 2009, when Alex PY2WAS will be activating *Amapa State in the northern region of Brazil.
It is considered the most difficult Brazilian State (there are 27 States). At present, although there are licensed ham operators, there are not any active ones. The last CW operation was held in 1997 – Alex will operate from 10m to 80m, SSB and CW.

*Amapa State borders on French Guyana in the north, the Atlantic in the east and the Amazon Delta in the south. Most of the territory is tropical rainforest and is inaccessible.
