Hi friends

TS7C Team members at Paris Orly awaiting flight
TS7C
The crew has taken off.
This is the first picture this morning at Orly airport, Paris.
As you can see, they are a little bit frozen.
The plane is in time so the planning has now good chances to be done.
Stay tuned, first signals tomorrow evening.
Unfortunately, we have to regret the missing in the crew of Gabriele, I2VGW, for personal means and also for Milan-Paris flights cancellations because of the weather.

Hi friends
We have to inform you about the delay concerning the beginning of the operation TS7C
Unfortunately, it seems that some rules have been changed in Tunisia about the agreement of transmitters between the first information given when the licence was asked, and the instructions in hand of the Tunisian Customs.
So when the crew arrived in Sfax Airport, the transceivers had been seized and sent for checking in Tunis, 400km away.
Mustapha, DL1BDF and the Tunisian Amateur Radio Association Chairman spent all day long to try to solve this problem.
At six PM, Mustapha, DL1BDF;, said Frank, F4AJQ that all was solved for only three transceivers and he was on the way to Sfax .
When Mustapha arrived in Sfax it was too late to take the last boat.
One of the crew, maybe two will have to return in Tunis in next Monday to see how is the other transceivers situation.
In such a case the only thing we can do is crossing the fingers to know a better situation on Monday as today”
With sadness,

Hi friends
TS7C On the air at last
The crew has begun at last the TS7C activity this morning, with only 3 transceivers. (The others are in Tunis at the Customs, until next Monday )
Have luck with our team on as many bands as possible.

From the Crew and the pilots
Finally we had a good suprise, Gabriele, I2VGW could take the plane and he is now in Kerkennah with the other members of the team.
We regret also the arrival of the “Montezuma’s Revenge”. Arno, OE9AMJ, is very ill with that, fever and explosive diarhea. Jean Paul, F8BJI and Dieter, OE8KDK are also ill with the same but a little less.
We cross fingers for that will not turn into epidemia.
We wish Arno, Dieter and Jean-Paul, a quick recover.
Other bad new about the gear ; we have not yet the missing transceivers, still bounded in the Customs desk in Tunis.
Mustapha, DL1BDF, had today a phone communication with these services and, as promised by the Customs, the transceivers may be delivered in Kerkennah, tomorrow in the early morning.
The weather is not very fine. 15 degrees centigrades is the highest temperature during the day. Rain, fog and wind are here too.
The crew has set up to day the last Spiderbeam, and now they have a four square and a beam usable on 40m wich will be one of the most used bands for the two next nights, especially in CW.
Despite of illness, Jean-Paul , F8BJI leads the Digitals crew. They have a goal about the record on RTTY QSO??s by a dxpedition. They are working on very hard. Thanks to all of you who had QSO??d and the others who will do the same in next days. Try to QSO TS7C RTTY on as many bands as possible.
The barrier of 20 000 contacts was broken this morning.
See you on the bands and modes and also on our guest book.
The updated log at Tuesday noon is online

TS7C info
Hi friends
Last night Arno, OE9AMJ, could sleep a while after he had took some drugs. He was replaced for the traffic.
This morning he is a little better. Jean Paul, F8BJI and Dieter, OE8KDK also with some drugs feel better and can take their traffic vacations.
No news about the missing transceivers . So we will not talk about that anymore. Know that the 80 000 QSO??s goal will not be reached because of this missing.
Yesterday evening one of the PC??s stopped suddenly.
Our antenna farm has grown and is now at its maximum number of antennas.
We had the good fortune to count in the team, Tony, G0OPB who is our Mr Antenna.
So thanks to him, minimal losses had been observed since we are on the air. Our signals strength and quality are part of his good skill.
This morning at 1000 o??clock, these are some information about the traffic :
QSO??s : 26 217
CW : 8 321
RTTY : 8295
SSB : 9 601
EU : +or- 71%
AM : +or- 20%
AS + AF + OC : +or- 9%
To day??s programm on http://www.ts7c.net

Hi friends
Good news from the team.
The Montezuma’s revenge is going away .
The crew is complete behind the transceivers.
Since to day, 0700 utc there are six stations on the bands.
All the transceivers are now in the crew hands, two have been put in reserve.
About the traffic the first goal of 80 000 QSO will not be reached because of the events but we think now, with six stations we will able to make 60 000 QSO’s.
Jean Paul, F8BJI and the Digitals modes group are now breaking the VP6DX records for RTTY QSO’s, by an expedition. This evening it will be done. Thanks to all of you.
Dont forget to encourage the crew – Guest book on the site http://www.ts7c.net
See you down the TS7C log.

nnnn
What a surprise to hear you so loud and clear on 40 meters today. Merci, Merci
Hope to work you on RTTY.

even tens of KHz, like 1830, are very bad in NA. So calling CQ NA on 1830 is counterproductive. 29.5 or 30.5 or something like that would be good.

TS7C news
The website is a victim of its success!
Since yesterday evening the TS7C webpage is out of order.
The statistics for visitors data base has shut down suddenly at 2220 utc.
The Web page hoster is working on to repair it. Vincent/F5MJV is in touch with them.
We hope to be able to offer again, this web page before the end of the expedition, but it seems to day that, in such a case, there will not be any new update of the online logbook, before the return to F6KOP??s base .
This morning, the digitals crew went QRT around 0630 utc, for a longer while, to permit the other modes to be on the bands as often as possible especially during the day possibilities on 20m and up.
We wait some more information but now it seems that the VP6DX RTTY record has been broken
All of your messages sent to the back office (pilots or F5NQL) are in Frank/F4AJQ??s hands regularly each morning after being compiled. He , and the crew do all what is possible to take into acount of them. Know however we may have also locals restrictions.
Our good friend Jeff, F6AOJ, has open a TS7C hall of fame for the operators who have QSOed TS7C the most times as possible on his web blog at
http://pagesperso-orange.fr/F6AOJ/cariboost1/crbst_179.html
To day there are on, only French operators but no doubt , this page can be open to all of the other.
BE CAREFUL AND DON??T WAIT TOO MUCH,
The end of traffic is scheduled now on next Sunday at 0700 utc in the morning.
All the stations will be stopped at this hour definitively, and being dismantled and packed.
The departure from Kerkennah will happen around 1400 UTC.
The end of this ??animated? aventure is planned for next Monday, early morning.
Less than two days to enter the TS7C logbook
Be lucky

job well done gentlemen
Today I think to be in the log!

In the next days I’ll check the log on line.
Very good operation with outstanding operators.
Thanks!

You does a good work on 40 m, boys. Many crocodiles with big mouths and small ears. My respect!
Thank you.
I was wondering how long it takes to update the online log?? The only other thing I have to say is that you guys are doing a really great job on 160 and 80 meters. Thanks.
Very good operators in your team. My compliments. Hope to see my call in the log soon.
Very good operation…
thanks to F6KOP and others team !!
We stop all stations this morning at 05:00, except 40m SSB and 30m CW. Last qso was on 30cw at 09:00. Because we had not chance to get a ferry to reach Sfax on time to come back to Paris.
We can announce we have more than 57000 qsos in our log ! (will be updated soon as possible and can you imagine how many qsos more it will should be possible if we have all the radios since the first day ?)
We will update some pictures, and more infos about this trip and all the team members !
Thanks again for all your support and your help that was and will be very appreciated.
Of course see you on the next DXpedition. A new adventure is already on the road??.
