I’m looking forward to working this activation but due to the lack of SSB operations it’s becoming a daunting task to say the least. I’ve only heard it once on 40m on SSB the rest has been CW. Although it has been active on 15m considerably we just aren’t getting the conditions here. To add insult to injury it was 5/9+ on 80m yesterday but in the section of the band that only Advanced Licences are allowed to TX….3.790, can’t we bring it down to 3.700 for the Foundation and Standard licences to work? Congrats to those in VK that have worked it on SSB and I applaud the team @ TX5SPA for the activation but let go of the key, grab the mic and let’s make some SSB QSO’s ok!…..Just for the TX5 crew, 40m was open for over 6 hours last night to the pacific……hint hint!

Ive heard them S9 on 40 meters every night from 2000-2100 local (0200-0300Z) but they are always CQ EU at that time.
Bah.
Our window of opportunity lays from 6.00 UTC (4pm Local) onwards on 40m, I can’t say I’ve heard any openings prior. It was during this time which was during the OC Contest that I heard it on 40m for the first time, but trying for an hour to sneak in amongst the JA’s was nearly near impossible to say the least. I still have a few days of opportunity yet so fingers crossed.
