Dear TX5SPA and all operators.

I enjoyed being able to make contact with TX5SPA on 40 meters CW with my old TS-140S (90 watts) and my home made Carolina Windom. I will be sending a QSL card along with 2 (IRC's) to SP9PT. I'm 68 years old and on oxygen now 24/7. I'm so grateful I have this wonderful hobby that has let me meet people from all over the world. I'm not a big DX chaser but I do enjoy working DX when I can. I just have to be patient and wait until the pile-ups with the Big antennas and Big amplifiers make their contacts than I sneak in after a few days..hi hi I wish you all the success in your DXpedition and hope you are all having fun.

The most fun I had was when I was stationed in Edzell, Scotland back in 1967 while in the U.S.Navy Top Secret Crypto Communications. I helped establish the first Amateur Radio Club in Scotland for Naval personnel and had the honor of being nominated as the first President of the club. We were given 'special' prefix's of GM5. My call was GM5AFJ. There were about 8 of us active and after a few weeks we started getting pile-ups of stations trying to work us?? I did not know why until a local Scottish ham told us we were the only stations with the GM5 prefix!..hi hi It was fun being a DX station because of the special prefix..hi hi
