   Local SS here is not good for 80m or 160m, sorry. We wish it were! The best bands for SS seem to be 40m and 30m. We have tried to shoehorn 80m into action with fair results.

   80m is extremely enhanced towards SR – this is by far the best time for EU and considerably more productive than during the night.

   160m is dying well before SR – peaks several hours earlier and then fades. The propagation charts might help predict this peak. Even the at the peak conditions have been very taxing (for both sides I think!)

   There is some conflict over QRG choice. I will try changing. The plan is now to retune to 1830.3 tonight. QSX down 2.
   Local WX is rainy, which is causing power supply issues and tripping the Toyko amp.

   You had a great signal into the US Midwest last night. It was obvious though that you were having trouble hearing. It’s very difficult to break through the EU pile-up.

   Keep up the great effort and look forward to putting VP8 in the log.

   LF bands are currently unusable due to QRN (20dB over S9) – will keep monitoring. It was barely possible to hear for half a second between the crashes, with AGC turned off this is deafening. Sorry guys! Will definitely try again tonight. Flight leaves early morning on Friday so this is the last LF night.

   Will keep working on the HF bands as these are in good shape. 30M in particular was terrific yesterday (JA, NA and EU all equal strengths, quite amazing!).

   LoTW upload will be on Friday before departure for UK.
