• Dedicated to the work of Mercy Ships

In close co-operation between the DAGOE Foundation, Mercy Ships and 4 Dutch radio amateurs are planning a DX-pedition to Sierra Leone. The Team will stay in Sierra Leone for 3 weeks in March 2011 and foresee to participate in the Russian DX Contest. The location will be in the area of the capital Freetown. They hope to be able to use the 9L5MS callsign.

The team set the following goals and will be able to reach these goals with help of the radio amateur community worldwide:

• Activate the DXCC-entity Sierra Leone on the HF bands.
• Providing support for a Mercy Ships Charity Project.
• Raising funds for the Mercy Ships Charity Project.

All donations and surplus from the QSL will be transferred to the Mercy Ships Charity Project.
