After successful DXpedition to Easter Island, Stan SQ8X draws plans for another DX trip. A team of amateur operators with a TV crew will visit Jan Mayen Island in July next year.
If you wish to join the team, don’t hesitate to drop an email to stan.sq8x [at] gmail . com to receive more information. Your participation in other DXpeditions and good health will be your advantages. Be quick and decided, application deadline is set for March 5th, 2010!
This trip is gonna be a real fusion of a big adventure, ham radio and advanced tourism – Stan SQ8X says. – There is still a place for 3-4 additional team members. If you are ready for a real adventure and you wish to experience the ham radio from a subpolar location, you may apply to join the team – Stan adds.
I would like go there. :-)

Hello, the latest JX news: the team is complete now and will be announced soon.
[hi Scott! ;]
Would advice you to use the “Gamlemetten” QTH on the west side of the island. There you have a clear takeoff to USA and easily work Pacific too. You will also work EU with no problem from there.
I have made a 20m high tower for ham radio there in 1998.
