The QSO count is currently at 188.75k with 49% CW, 41% SSB and 9% RTTY. As you might guess we are working hard to exceed 200k.
During the day (local time) we are running a 6m beacon on 50.102.MHz. If you hear the beacon please put a note on the cluster and we will break the beacon and try for QSOs. So far we have had 99 six metre QSOs, mainly with the West coast USA and Hawaii. The beacon has been heard in Japan and South America. We have also completed a number of 6m EME QSOs.
With just a few days to go to the end of the DXpedition we are beginning to plan the station close down. There will be a phased shut down beginning at 1600z on Monday 24th October, with the last station closing by 0100z on Tuesday 25th. We will keep the ‘high rate’ stations running as long as possible.
If you look at the on line log and QSOs that were previously in there appear to be missing, don’t despair, query the log a little later, they will be there.
That’s not a dxpedition, it’s an invasion!
Good luck to all, and thanks for all the information provided.
Tremendous team in terms of both numbers and quality. Tremendous array of equipment. Altogether fabulous. But total overkill for T32 which is not badly needed compared to many other Pacific locations.
I guess there will be more T32 team members on the island than inhabitants…
The Oceania phone contest starts at 0800 UTC ;)
Anyone know if the Advance Party (G3NUG, G3USR, DK1II) log will be uploaded to ClubLog? It was reported they made approximately 1800 QSOs on 10m and 20m….I was one of those QSOs on 10m.
Tnx de KD4QMY
According to their website the activity should start not on Friday September 30th but on Saturday October 1st. I quote:
“30 September 2011
Antenna erection is complete, final work is under way on building the stations, IT infrastructure and interoperability testing. The plan is to be QRV by 10:00 GMT on 1st October”.
Good luck setting the records – you guys are well on your way. Thanks for all the band slots!
Enjoyed the contact however some say they did not see it posted by the team ? good signal here in Norman, Oklahoma KB5DOH
Yesterday, there was an T32C operator on 17 meters that was telling the world that Christmas Island was 1200 miles South of Hawaii…
And this guy is a DX’er? Better send him back to Geography 101
What are you talking about Bill? That’s exactly where Christmas Island (Central Kiribati) is. Are you thinking of the other Christmas Island (VK9X), perhaps?
Phantasmagorical Operation – Thank YOU!!
HI, GUYS!!!
I THINK YOU ARE DOING A TERRIFIC JOB……MANY THANKS!!
I HAD A CONTACT WITH T32C ON 10-12 @ APPROX. 2049GMT ON 10 METERS. THE OPERATOR WAS GORDON (NICE PROFESSIONAL GUY), BUT THE QSO WASN’T LISTED IN YOUR ON-LINE LOG. I’M WONDERING IF THIS WAS CAUSED BY THAT R.F. LEAKAGE PROBLEM YOU MENTIONED IN YOUR BULLETIN. I HAD SEVERAL EXCHANGES WITH GORDON, SO I’M SURE THE QSO WAS VALID. I’D APPRECIATE IT IF YOU COULD CHECK WHEN YOU GET THE TIME.
AGAIN …..GREAT JOB,GUYS!!!

Thanks for a great DXPedition—I needed T32 on 12 and 160 meters and am halfway there. !2 meter signals have been great. I jsut got my 160 meter transmit antenna back up this past weekend so I’ll be hoping to catch T32C on Top Band before you go.

Hi guys, congratulation, good job!. Thanks for all the band slots!.
Need any RTTY qso more, but i’m happy. Have fun guys.
I made 3 diferent QSO’s in 2 bands only one show up in the online log.
In my opinion is much beter to make accent on quality of QSO’s instead of cantity of QSO’s.Many busted callsigns increase the number of “worked ” stations.
I’m very SURE they copy right my callsign.
It’s useless to spend effort on hunting big scores and just generating pileups by people don’t know if is OK in log or not and contacting several times to be sure is OK.
Best regards,Val,YO6DDF
I said this before, but it bears repeating…… OUTSTANDING performance, guys! Between you and ZL8X, I think I have experienced two of the best run DXpeditions yet! I’ve been a ham for over 50 years, so that is saying something (in my humble opinion) :)
tnx for 17m qso very appreciated
