UPDATE
X-class flare CME arrival updated. Cloud’s expected arrival time 09:17 UT on Saturday, July 14th. Weekend auroras are likely.

At 1649 UTC a strong X1.4-class flare took place from the AR1520. Strong radio blackouts and S.I.D. observed on sunlit zones of the Earth.

As the Active Region is directly facing Earth, it produced an important earth-directed CME. The passage of the CME is expected since Saturday, July 14. G1 (minor) Geomagnetic Storm activity is expected… just in time for the IARU Contest!
