Philippe, FO4BM plans to be active as TX0HF from the following IOTA in French Polynesia:
QSL via F4FJH
This operation is delayed and not yet confirmed, until Philippe (FO4BM which will sign TX0HF rather than FO4BM/A) can get an airplane.
Philippe will only use a 20m dipole, SSB 100W, and it’s an holiday style operation. Philippe should be able to send his log to LoTW.
More information to come when he will be able to get an airplane.
For DXCC, those islands are in Austral islands, not French Polinesia
Next try for Phil to get on Austral will be this sunday 15th. We all hope he will get a seat !
Fresh news, expect operations MAY start on 17th from Tubaï.
http://dxfor.me/?_s=TX0HF,FO4* to help you get an alert on it (use the “Play sound” feature on the filter)
Operation started today on 18th, working split on 20m SBB mainly.
Hello Philppe,
thank you for picking my signal up this morning and giving me a rare new one ! Your 100W signal was very nice to copy here in central EU.

I still haven’t heard Philippe! He was on 20m a few days ago, but not audible here.
I’ve only worked Austral on low bands. Looking for 20m and up!
Hope to hear him soon!

Phil will leave this day to go to Rurutu (OC-050). He got some trouble with his TX running only 50W with his dipole, with low propagation, good hears and luck are needed. For now, It’s not possible for Phil to go on any other band than 20m.
Over 550 Qsos was made until today.
Phil;
Thanks for the QSO on 24 July, 2012 at 0430 UTC.
5 9 with some QSB in Pennsylvania. Thank you for the 5 9 report.

Phil thanks for th 20m QSO 25.0.2012 u are 55-57 here…
Congars for a low power and dipole…
Phil went QRT today after more than 1100 QSOs in the log, with his dipole and less than 100W And a very low propagation.
QSL will be via his regular manager as F4FJH.
Thanks very much for a great dxpedition and for the qso. Looking forward to the picturesque QSL card! Have a safe journey home.
