POSTPONED:
We regret having to give bad news about the planned Dxpedition. The situation of civil war in Mali between the government and Tuareg is getting worse lately and, for safety reasons, the authorities do not issue licenses to radio amateurs who may be targeted because of radio equipment. For this reason the Dxpedition is postponed until a later date. [IK7JWY Pilot]
The “Italian Dxpedition Team” are pleased to announce their next DXpedition will be in Mali from April 12 to 27, 2012.
The team will consist of I2YSB, IK2CIO, IK2CKR, IK2DIA and IK2HKT.

I am sure that N6PSE is understanding this safety issue very well. He was supposed to lead T6PSE. Everybody knows why T6PSE was cancelled. Let’s wait for a better time to see TZ on the air and hopefully T6, too.
If the team is looking at alternative AF destinations; 5U or S0 would be good :)

I was hoping for 5T…but that’s not exactly the safest place either. Shame about TZ, Mali has been one of the more stable countries in the region.
