3D2NB, 3D2OU, 3D2RO & 3D2RX – Fiji & RotumaThursday Feb 07, 2013
REMINDER: Bob W7YAQ and Bill N7OU are returning to the South Pacific.
From Feb 2-7, they will operate in Fiji as 3D2NB (W7YAQ) and 3D2OU (N7OU). Then from Feb 8-21, they will active from Rotuma as 3D2RX (W7YAQ) and 3D2RO (N7OU).
QRV mostly CW, with some RTTY and SSB, 160-10m. At both locations their vertical antennas will be next to salt-water on a north-facing shore.
During the ARRL CW DX Contest they will make a multi-single entry from Rotuma as 3D2RX.
QSL via home calls. They will upload logs to LoTW as soon as they return to the US.

This dxpedition is a good news for us in Europe . Hope you include some digital activities because Fiji and Rotuma are very rare in digital for Europe . Good luck for your trip and see you soon on my screen

we have 2 great ops with k3 so it couldnt be better for a good bunch of qsos! need sunspots and no flares !
It is so great to hear Bob and Bill work a huge fluttery cw pile up. They make it sound so easy but it’s really, really hard.
Excellent operation….High Q rate, attention to calls with no breakins accepted…Got’em on 15 and 10 cw. Lotsa callers, just gotta be patient though, you’ll get’em eventually. 100 watts here with a yagi.

they have 100w to butternut 9 bands with k3! a winning trio! got 3d2rx on 40 m (1st call) this morning and 3d2ro this afternoon on 15m with 100w and a single 55 feets long 14gauge wire in inv vee ! both have vy gd ears also ! it helps -)))
One of the best signals from Pacific area I ever heard on 40M!

I just worked 3D2RO on 20m CW with 100 watts ! Absolutely chuffed. Only my second contact into Rotuma. That’s 17m and 20m CW now. Thanks N7OU!!

I am strictly QRP running 5 watts to a Force 12 vertical. You were true 449 – 559 in San Diego and were VERY patient with my weak signal until you got it correct (6 or 8 go arounds)!!

Great signals from Rotuma this morning into the US. An hour after sunrise and armchair copy. Thanks guys for putting a new DXCC into my log and a new one on 80M to boot.
