QSL manager M0URX says: The final log of 9M4SLL, Spratly Islands, has now been uploaded to Club Log and LoTW. The team have taken down all antennas and packed everything away and heading home.
They made just under 44000 QSOs.

Please make it better than 9M0L – heard here only on 3 days with good conditions, and then… 17m nearly closed, S9+10, and what did the DX – changed to call only AF (band allready closed, not one qso response) and SA (only 2 qsos in 10min) complete 20min called with 2qsos/min and then the signal gone with the band… i know, it’s easy to complain when “not on the other side” but i really hope the next spratly activation would look at the propagation charts and give low signal EU stations a chance – we are not all these loud screaming idiots… ;-)
Good luck to John 9M6XRO and the group!! Got to know John on Campbell Island…Absolutely the best!!
Sven,
I think you missed the previous 9M4SLL pedition by John and Steve last August. That was outstanding pedition by two great operators who really knew what they were doing.
There is very nice feature from this pedition at DX Coffee. http://www.dxcoffee.com/eng/2012/08/29/9m4sll-light-gear-heavy-results/
Compared to 9M0L the two ops with saltwater verticals were producing truly amazing signals to EU last year.
Good luck for the team for the upcoming Spratly DXpedition!
Sven,
The 9M4SLL operation last August was much, much better than 9M0L – I worked them without too much difficulty on 6 bands 40m – 10m, and there were only 2 operators 9M6XRO and 9M6DXX – this time they will be joined by several other experienced ops so there should be no problem – I’m hoping for 80m this time :-)

Howdy Steve,
Hope all goes well for all the team.Safe journey
many exp dont work eastern NA at the right time ! if you call EU on 20 meters untill 1400 gmt its too late for east ! best time on 15 meters is around 1600 to 1800 gmt ! after 2100 gmt sigs down and fast in the east ! have fun and dont forget us this time ! safe trip and good weather !
Good Luck, We plan to be on Lananf Lanang Resort March 2014. So funny Vicky Lee wanted us to come this March 2013 so we would be there same time as you. I told her now we did not want to be there when others where on the air. We plan on 4 people 2 radios, amps, 5 band beams and windoms. I would love to hear from you ref many things about your operation before and after your trip.

safe trip. Thanks for your efforts. Need Spratly Island for All time new country!
Please!!
thanks
Looking forward to 10 and 20m to complete what I need. Was a pleasure to work and confirm 15 and 40m on the last trip guys.
Still waiting for the Paper QSL from 9M0L for 10m, can’t see it ever showing up now…..although confirmed on LOTW, I still like it old school.
Safe journeys guys and C U on the bands!
No matter what….safe travels to all!!! And best of luck in the DXpedition. Will be looking for you for a new one. Regards…WB4OMM.
I was looking forward to working them earlier today on 15m as the conditions improved, but around 0100 UTC someone else decided to call CQ and sign as 9M4SLL on the same frequency. It was impossible to tell who was who. :-(
Tnx for all-time new one! Been trying for Spratly for 11 years and finally a QSO yesterday on 17m. #329 for me.
Have a safe remainder of the DXpedition and trip home.

Many Eastern and Western European stations await you on 160 meters, starting from 15.30utc, and at that time you do QSY to 20m.
Why?
Thanks for being so patient and pulling me out of the intense QRM on 17M CW, I know it was a struggle and I appreciate it. I think you added another dit at the end of my call and got me as K1DN but I’ll worry about that later! See you on other bands!
Hi Steve
Worked you SSB on all bands 10 – 40m during your last trip. Hoping for 80m SSB this time! But 3803 MHz tonight is terrible, 9+20dB QRM :-(

Thank you for 10m. Opening here was just for 3 minutes !
Thanks for the 160 QSO, greatly appreciated.
guys thanks for your efforts on low bands, heard you on evn. long path on 80 twice and 1100/1130 on 16/17 from ssw on 160.the w4s that worked you are the stations with long beverages and 8 circles .my 540ft bev @205 and 165,. were marginal at best ,my point is that it takes more gain and rdf for this path.im north and in between k4sv a
and w4zv both hearing verry well. got to lengthen them ,may move.mabey 26 someday.

44.000 QSO but just 15.000 uniques.
Hi all,
OZ1IIW : This is a fact. But an average 3 QSO /call is an avergae ratio I guess for any expdition.
A good question would be to know among those 15.000 unique calls, how many already worked 9M0L and the previous 9M4SLL activities, very likely on the same band/modes….?
Ronan, F8AFC
Never heard them well, they seemed to work more bands to Europe. I hope another DX-pedition Is forth coming, and does a better job!!!
