Chris GM3WOJ (ex-ZK2V) and Keith GM4YXI (ex-ZK2X) will be active as VK9CZ from the Cocos-Keeling Islands (OC-003) between March 30 to April 13, 2013.
Activity will be on SSB and CW, with some RTTY.
It is hoped to have a real-time logging system and daily LoTW uploads if possible.
QSL via N3SL.
I’m glad to see this activation as I need it for an ATNO. However I don’t have high expectations since this area is the most difficult area for me to work. Last time when Christmas Island was activated I couldn’t hear a peep! I hope the ops will try to work NA hams. GL.

Jonathan expresses my sentiments exactly. That area is like a Black Hole to me.

Hi all, has been working very hard the first day VK9CZ with 100W and delta loop antenna, but this worked, a new DXCC for me.
Thanks for the expedition

Thanks gentlemen,
You fellows did a great job for a 2 man Dxpedition, you had lots
of pile-ups-great operating .Great to get 5 new bands from VK9C.
Have a safe trip home- God Speed.
Great job! I do have a few suggestions – and as one who has never been on a DXped I’m sure that they carry a lot of weight! Just kidding.
VK9C is a black hole here and it was great to work you guys on 4 bands. Thanks for #332
Safe travels.
