With deepest regrets we must tell you that shortly after returning to San Diego, Luis XE1L was stricken with a major heart attack and passed away within minutes.
What a bad news !! I have met Luis during our dxpedition (9N7MD) in
Nepal. It was a very nice and pleasant guy.
We will miss you Luis !! Have a nice trip over there and see you in the
pile-up !!
Luis was always very cordial and welcoming to everyone. It was a pleasure to be associated with him as well as to be his friend.
May his family be blessed and comforted during this most difficult time.
May you rest in peace.
Luis was such a joy to work on the radio Saturday mornings. While I never met him personally I know he has done so many things for Amateur Radio. God Bless Luis and his family..
