NEWS UPDATE – Gildas FT5XT sent his latest log to QSL manager F4DXW which is now uploaded to Club Log. All proof’s will be sent to ARRL for DXCC validity.
On October 13th, Gildas transmitted for 2 hours from Kerguelen making 136 QSOs on 15SSB. He worked mainly Asian stations and some from Europe plus two stations from South America.
For info, Gildas is a fisherman and goes to Kerguelen island for a few hours during boat refuelling. Now he will sail within the vicinity of Crozet island, where he will be active maritime mobile (FT5XT/MM)
October 11, 2016 – Gildas, F4HQZ (ex-TU5KG) will again be active as FT5XT from Kerguelen Island on Thursday or Friday this week. Activity on 15 or 20m when time permits.
Logs sent to QSL manager (F4DXW) on return home in December.
Note: Gildas is captain of a fishing vessel which sails in the FT5 area for up to 3 months so activity from Crozet (as FT5WQ) or Kerguelen (as FT5XT) can be sporadic. He sometimes signs FT5XT/MM.
