RT9K/P & R20RRC/8 – Zhuravliny Island, AS-109

    August 4, 2013The team departed Nadym earlier and will travel for about 16 hours by boat reaching Zhuravliny Island tomorrow afternoon local time.

    July 28, 2013 — Following an attempt to activate Zhuravliny AS-109 in April this year, the RT9K team will again try to reach the island in the Obskaya Gulf in early August.

    The operation will take place between August 5 – 11, 2013 under two callsigns.

    • RT9K/P — August 5-8 with QSL manager RX9KM.
    • R20RRC/8 — August 9-11 with QSL manager RZ3EC.

    Expedition team: UA9KDF, RQ8K, RW0BG.
