Three Years Old!

It was early April, 2007 when a site named first arrived on the scene. Loyal readers will probably recall such a site name and, at the time, wondered what the heck is this about? It was a mixture of Dx news, thoughts about the Dx scene in general, re-posted snippets of ham radio related news and from time-to-time lively discussions on various aspects of Dxing.

Gradually, it grew in popularity and within 12 months a name change to occured.  Moving away from the lively, sometimes heated (!) discussions, branched out to a more exclusive, often fresh Dx news service with images and videos provided by readers/Dxpeditioners alike. With added technical know-how from Christian, DL6KAC and Stan, SQ8X, soon became a hit in more ways than one – a new dedicated server was required!

With this new server came another (and final) name change – After a few teething problems, we launched in January of this year, aiming to continually provide an alternative and free Dx-related site. [It is site editor/publisher MM0NDX’s passion to have no adverts displayed…ever!]

Many thanks to everyone who reads, contributes and sends news. Here’s to the next three years and beyond!
