WE RECENTLY NOTICED IN THE LATEST “REBEL DX GROUP” NEWS UPDATE THIS PARTICULAR PARAGRAPH:

It’s come to our attention that a few PAID subscription services and Internet News Providers have taken issue with our QSL Policy. Oh, the hypocrisy! They charge YOU the good readers $50 a year and charge their advertisers mere thousands of dollars a year to put their logo’s on their Website, but they want the Rebels to offer free QSLs to the world via the Buro? Give it a rest. How about this? Maybe we should run a promotion that we’ll offer a FREE QSL to anybody that cancels the Daily DX subscription and saves themselves $50 a year, $500 a decade or $1,250 a Quarter Century! For any companies that cancel their DX World advertising – maybe we should offer FREE QSL confirmations to all your company employees?

FOR THE AVOIDANCE OF DOUBT, DX-WORLD HAS NEVER ONCE QUESTIONED THE REBEL DX GROUP QSL POLICY. WE HAVE NO INTEREST IN THEIR QSL MATTERS.

JUNE 1 @ 08:00z – 3D2CR now QRV. Further updates on Rebel DX Group website. Logs will be uploaded to Club Log once they return to Fiji.

JUNE 1, 2019 @ 07:20z – 3D2CR catamaran anchored 500m offshore. Station assembly almost complete.

MAY 31, 2019 – At 22:00z the team were approx 30nm north east of Conway Reef.

MAY 30, 2019 – 3D2CR team again on their way to Conway Reef.

MAY 25, 2019 – Few days ago the team departed for Conway Reef, however the weather became really bad at sea and they had to return to Nadi, Fiji. Following info from Graham VK3GA/3D2:

We hit a massive storm on Thursday night around 21:30z. Winds were peaking at 80km/h and waves over 10m. We were 250km’s from land in the middle of the ocean with no-where to hide, so the decision to return to Fiji was easy to make. It still took us 2 days to get home.

And this from Tack, JE1CKA/3D2:

MAY 20, 2019 – Team member Graham, VK3GA reports “there is unseasonal weather at the moment, including tropical depressions which are unusual at this time of year. This is delaying our departure”.

  1. To DC – I presume you are talking about Direct QSL. The issue was about “Rebel’s” official statement that they are refusing to reply to Bureau request. By that they violate ClubLog’s terms of OQRS use.

  2. I think the OQRS cost of $5 is great. Cards cost money, envelopes, postage, driving to the post office, etc. When I order a qsl card, I donate to the DXpedition as well. If you don’t like it or disagree then don’t qsl and move on.

  3. With all due respect to Tack-san JE1CKA, I want to remind “Rebels” that according to ClubLog OQRS policy, in the order to utilize OQRService THEY MUST REPLY TO BUREAU REQUEST FREE OF CHARGE. The only area Conway Reef is below 30 DXCC Most Wanted (which allows “Rebels” to charge fixed 1USD for Bureau cards) is United Kingdom.

Therefore, like it or not – follow the rules or create your own Service. And I bet there will be not much right minded people out there, who will entrust their financial information to 3Z9DX.
